On behalf of our faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to Medical Career Academy. Here you will find professional career programs to begin in what will be the most rewarding decision you may ever make. We offer our students a learning environment filled with problem-solving and critical thinking in order to ensure a strong base on which to build. This allows our graduates to become medical professionals and part of the healthcare continuum, and to become leaders in the Emergency Medical Services profession. We are proud of our many graduates who are working in and contributing to the community.

Our instructors at Medical Career Academy are caring professionals who are dedicated to making your experience enjoyable and rewarding. They are seasoned professionals with years of experience working in the Emergency Medical Services profession. They will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to transition from school to career. Mission

Medical Career Academy prepares students to become professionals in the Emergency Medical Service field with the necessary skills and competencies to function as part of the EMS community in a manner consistent with State and National Registry guidelines.

Medical Career Academy works to achieve our mission daily by providing up to date information delivered by industry professionals who bring real world work experience into the classroom, and through the provision of equipment, support staff and resources that are effective in the process of supplementing and supporting the academic process. Our mission is designed to grow and evolve with the needs of an ever-changing community, one of multi-cultural responsiveness, and technological advancements. We aim to successfully graduate students who go on to become professionals in their field of study fundamentally through the elements which compose our mission.

New course schedules and variations are constantly being generated to better suit the needs of our students and the EMS community

History and Philosophy

Medical Career Academy is a private postsecondary educational school whose mission is to provide quality training that prepares students to enter the emergency medical workforce. The school offers general education and professional programs at the diploma in the fields of healthcare. These programs are designed to instill the knowledge and skills of professional practice as well as foster the values of higher education and social responsibility. MCA incorporates a faculty and staff that are comprised of working paramedics, firefighters, and nurses in the pre-hospital and hospital setting.

Medical Career Academy, Inc. is a private not-for-profit corporation established in 2013 to train and educate individuals interested in pursuing a career in the Emergency Medical Services field.

MCA offers those seeking small class size, quality instructors and a sincere desire to achieve the necessary skills and knowledge to complete a program with a valuable educational experience that could ultimately provide gainful employment.

In November of 2014, Medical Career Academy, Inc. went for and was awarded State licensure as a Florida institution from the Department of Education, Commission for Independent Education.

Once students complete our program, they will become eligible for Florida testing. Medical Career Academy, Inc. does not guarantee job placement. We offer assistance to students in preparation of becoming employed as an entry level Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic in the Emergency Medical Services field.
