Tina Palermo, Program Director/CEO

Tina proudly served as an EMS Captain with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue for 28 years. She holds a B.S. Degree from the University of Massachusetts and received her Paramedic from Broward Community College. After over a 7-year hiatus, she decided to get back into the business that she loves; training today’s students to become successful EMT’s and Paramedics in the emergency healthcare field. Tina look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your goals.

Rochelle Goldberg, COO

Rochelle Goldberg earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Indiana University and has been a proud member of Medical Career Academy, Inc. since 2017. Over the years, she has steadily climbed the ranks, taking on leadership roles that have allowed her to shape the academy’s growth and student success. Rochelle has been instrumental in guiding the school through its institutional accreditation process and securing programmatic accreditation for the Paramedic program—both major milestones for the academy. Her expertise includes program development, accreditation and compliance, student support, and building industry partnerships.

In recognition of her dedication to advancing EMS education, Rochelle was honored in June 2025 with election to the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of EMS Educators. Beyond her professional accomplishments, what motivates Rochelle most is helping students transform their passion into purpose. She takes pride in seeing them grow into confident, skilled healthcare professionals who are ready to serve their communities and make a lasting impact.

Russell Lee, Program Coordinator

With a distinguished career spanning 38 years in EMS, Rusty has dedicated his life to saving others and improving the field of emergency medicine. Rising through the ranks to become an EMS Captain, Rusty’s expertise, leadership, and commitment to excellence has left an incredible mark on the communities he served. Since retiring from Palm Beach County in 2019, Rusty remains a passionate advocate for EMS and continues to contribute to the field as a consultant and educator. He has been instrumental in revamping the entire curriculum from the ground up and works hard every day to help build the minds of future EMS providers.
